Gaining ground

Some polls have Rick down 11, while others have him down 7. Compare that to the beginning of the summer where some had him down 15 and some had him down 10. In all polls Rick is trending upwards. Some key factors are going to help Rick carry this home. For the sake of the argument lets say Rick is now down nine points. As people know more about the both candidates Rick starts doing better. He can easily gave and other 4 points before election day. This put Rick 5 points down, which he can easily make up in the debates. In 2004 W was ahead by 10 and Kerry was able to come within striking distance after the first Debates, I am not saying Rick will get a 10 point bounce, but it should draw them both neck and neck. Santorum's superior advertisement team will give Rick another couple of points and the superior GOP grassroots effort will give Santorum at least one more point. Also Rick will get a bounce quarter point from all the new voters coming out to vote for Swann, Lynn will still lose, but some diehards will make him there first vote ever and also vote for another western Pennsylvanian who shares party allegiance with Swann. This should give Rick around 51-52 percent of the vote and this is without the spoiler Green Party candidate.

The Dems are not feeling Green

Dr Rick explains

Casey supporters have been protesting the new Green Party Candidate Carl Romanelli. I wrote to one of the protest sponsors (Liz Conroy) and received a response. Tell me if it sounds like shes crying while writing this one:Liz,As a Santorum supporter I understand your frustration with another impediment to the election of your candidate Mr Casey. What I am wondering is: what is your objection the right of a Green Party candidate to run in the race?Rick Tennesen, conserned voter of PA.Hi Rick-We'd have no objection if it truly was the Green Party gathering petitions, and funding the initiative...however, it is Santorum and the Republicans. We aren't challenging the right of the Green Party candidate to run, we are challenging fraud.LizFraud!? Fraud is when the Tour de France champ takes drugs to enhance his performance. Fraud is not offering an alternative choice for the people of PA to vote for. This is an interesting point that the liberals are so adament in their seeking to remove Santorum from office more so than getting Casey elected. So what's wrong with maybe getting this guy elected? The hard to swallow liberal truth is that they are DESPERATE. Despite poll numbers I cannot wait to hear the vernacular describing their thoughts the morning after the election when Santorum has once again won. Liberal astonishment will once again be at an all time high and the thesaurus will be exhausted for synonyms for "shocked."My feeling is that this Green Party thing is a preliminary distraction/excuse for when they lose. They'll blame Romanelli and the Greens because in liberalism there must be an excuse for all things that don't go your way!

Sometimes Everyone votes with Bush

Today at the White-House Rick Santorum was standing near President Bush as he signed a bill into law.  I can only imagine little Bobby’s campaign staff, we all know Bobby does not talk, taking the picture and saying look here is Rick Santorum standing with George Bush.  He votes Bushes way over 90% of the time.  Well this time Rick was proudly standing with Bush as the W signed into law a bill cracking down on child molesters and abductors.  Also standing with the President were Joe Biden and Pat Leahy, I am sure there were other Dem’s there I just did not see any other ones and can’t really recognize more then half the house members of either party.  So when Rick votes with the President over 90 percent of the time how many times was it something Joe Biden voted for as well, and Bob Casey would vote for.  I am sure when you count every vote on a bill in Congress everyone votes with the president a substantial amount of the time.  I mean how many safe bills pass both houses like this one today where everyone is in favor of it, such as Disaster Relief.  So the three big votes in the Senate recently were Embryonic Stem Cell Research, Condemning Hezbollah, and protecting Children.  Rick vote with the President for 3/3 and Joe Biden was 2/3.  My guess is Bob Casey would be at least 2/3 for the President on those votes; at this point I am not sure where he stands on Embryonic Stem Cell Research.  So Yes the Senator votes with the President a very high percentage of the time, but that does not mean that all these votes are liberal or conservative some are just common sense.

Boehner Victory helpful to Santorum

In the beginning I was thinking that the whole Delay mess would hurt Republicans including our great Senator. But I was wrong,; first the winner was not Blunt; secondly the Boehner victory helps Santorum's cause. This is because it will highlight Santorum and Boehner as members of the legendary "Gang of Seven."No no the 7 Republicans who were against the filibuster, but this "Gang of Seven."

The Gang of Seven gained notoriety by working to expose what they believed to be ethical shortcomings in Congress. Some issues were major ones, like the House banking scandal. Others, such as "dining and dashing" at the House cafeteria, were not. However, the Gang of Seven saw them all as indications of corruption in a chamber that had been controlled by the Democratic Party for decades.

As Democrats try to attack Rick's Ethics, Boehner's election to majority leader will shed light on his true record. A record as a reformer.

Democrat Candidate Supports Alito

A Pennsylvania Democrat running for office in PA has just said Alito should be confirmed. Was it Bob Casey?
No Fast Eddie beat bob to the Punch. I just heard on Fox News, Rendell said that Alito is a good judge and should be confirmed.
This is an embarrassment to Bob Casey. Rendell, a liberal, just said Alito should be confirmed and the so called moderate Bob Casey still said "No Comment." Perhaps the Political savvy Ed Rendell was throwing Casey a Line saying if Alito is good enough for me it is ok for you to support him. The most likely thing was Fast Eddie asked his wife, who is on the 3rd circuit with Alito, told Eddie Sam was a good guy.

Pounding the Rock With Conservative Values opens RJS up to new Voters.

RJS pulls a Fast Eddie, but in a good way. Right now go to Santorum's Official Campaign Site. I don't think even Eagles Fan expert Ed Rendell has done that before. (The only Four things I agree with Fast Eddie on is the Eagles, Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies.)
The Steelers are a great team much like how Rick is a great Senator. No one expected the Steelers to still be in the playoffs a couple of Months ago just like how many are counting out Santorum. But like the Steelers he will prevail. Just as the Steelers are known to win with defense and a conservative offensive philosophy of running the ball, Rick Santorum can be counted on support a strong national Defense and conservative policies like cutting taxes and promoting Family Values. But like how the Steelers caught the Colts of guard with a passing game, Santorum has some good, plays of his own. He will throw the Democrats off guard by winning a higher then expected amount of votes from the Black, Hispanic and Jewish Communities.
Santorum’s surprises however are not based on new liberal ideas. Just as the best passing attack is set up by a great running game, Santorum’s inroads into these traditionally Democratic constituencies is based on a good conservative philosophy. More Blacks and Hispanics will vote for Santorum because like the Senator they know the failings of liberal social Policy. They will embrace the Senator’s support of faith-based charities and family values. Jewish voters strongly support Rick’s work on behalf of Israel.
Rick will win this election just like the Stealers won last week. By sticking to his Conservative Guns Rick will be able to win this race. The game plan is in place and all that needs to happen is for the little people like me and thousands of other Pennsylvanians need to dig in, do some blocking, do some tackling, and help Rick, as Chris Lilik would say, “Pound the Rock” into the end zone on Election Day.
